Perhaps, but after a week of testing, I found that the most impressive feature on Apple’s latest flagship devices isn’t AI or even the stunning new camera control button. It’s the 4K 120-frames-per-second slow-motion video recording that steals the spotlight.

I took the iPhone 16 Pro to a lion dance rehearsal, recording the intricate acrobatic moves in slow motion. The results were breathtaking. Despite the delayed AI release, the iPhone 16 Pro’s other features make it a solid upgrade. For instance, Apple has now incorporated a Camera Control button that allows quick access to photography tools, letting you effortlessly adjust settings or zoom in and out. For those upgrading from the iPhone 12 Pro or older, the new 16 Pro makes sense. However, if you're using a 14 or 15 Pro with a decent battery life, it’s worth considering whether you need this upgrade now.
