The Galaxy S23 Ultra retains the overall aesthetic of its predecessor, the S22 Ultra, but with small tweaks that make a big difference. One notable improvement is the reduction in curvature on the sides of the phone, making it easier to hold and use without a case. This is a significant improvement from the S22 Ultra, which had overly curved sides that made it uncomfortable to hold. Additionally, the camera housing on the back of the S23 Ultra has a minimalist design with rings around the three camera modules, giving the device a clean and stylish look.

Powerful Hardware

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S23 Ultra with top-of-the-line hardware, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is slightly faster than the standard Snapdragon 8 series used in other smartphones. This gives the S23 Ultra an edge in gaming performance, as it can play most titles at their highest frame rates with no limitations. In contrast, some other devices like the Find X6 Pro and OnePlus 11 limit games to 60fps. The S23 Ultra also features a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display that is brighter than its predecessor, making it ideal for gaming and content consumption.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a 5000mAh battery that easily lasts over a day of normal use. During my two months of daily use, I never had to worry about the battery running out before the end of the day. However, Samsung's charging technology has not kept up with the competition, as the S23 Ultra still supports only 45W fast charging, while other smartphones like the Find X6 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Pro offer faster charging options.

Outstanding Camera Performance

The camera performance of the Galaxy S23 Ultra is one of its key strengths. The phone features a 200MP main camera that takes stellar photos in any lighting condition, with improved color accuracy compared to previous generations. However, there are still some areas for improvement, such as capturing moving objects and HDR-related artifacting. Despite these minor shortcomings, the S23 Ultra offers one of the best overall camera packages available in the market today.
