 Proton Drive Now has an Android Application



Proton Drive, a cloud storage service, was established in September by Proton who is mainly known for security-centric services. Until now, users have had to put up with a web interface. Thankfully, the service now includes an app interface, as do many of the finest cloud services.

Proton proudly promotes its new cloud storage solution as an alternative to popular options such as Google Drive and Dropbox. Proton Drive customers on Android and iOS may now access their files with secured cloud storage through the app.

The Proton Drive app is free to download and includes security measures like as file data encryption, which prevents malicious actors from determining the sort of file they are dealing with. Proton Drive lets users create temporary viewing passwords for material with specified expiry dates, which is useful when you need to temporarily transfer files with non-Proton users. The free tier comes with 1 GB of cloud storage, but you can upgrade to 200 GB for $4/month. A monthly membership of $10 includes 500 GB of storage as well as the advantages of other Proton services such as Mail, Calendar, and VPN. All we need now is a Proton Drive desktop client, which is set to be released in 2023.

This joins the slew of cloud-based drive applications which have been released recently, mainly due to the pandemic.
