New Design Leak About the iPhone 15

Apple's iPhone 15 series is expected to undergo significant modifications both physically and inside, but a genuinely eye-opening design shift has recently surfaced. According to reports, the company will replace the physical volume and power buttons on premium iPhone 15 models with solid-state buttons that generate input through haptic motors.

Unexpected Design Changes

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will install Taptic Engines on the inside left and right sides of the next iPhones, which offer force feedback to make users feel as though they are hitting physical buttons. Interestingly, Kuo predicts that premium Android handsets will shortly embrace this style.

While the premise may seem unusual at first, it makes logic. Apple has extensive expertise with haptic motors, having pulled off this sensory deception trick with MacBook touchpads since 2015. The business also downsized its haptic motors to create '3D Touch' with the iPhone 6S, but failed to make its operation simple, removing the feature with the iPhone 11. It is also worth mentioning that the A16 chip from this year would be used in the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, while the A17 chip from the next generation would be used in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The performance of the iPhone during operations such as large data share and others may fluctuate due to chip variances.

Whereas, the change is design is a prime example of Apple producing excellent hardware but failing to find a suitable software application, so its reappearance seems appropriate. Moving components are also more prone to failure, thus the change should improve dependability while lowering maintenance costs. It may also help with water resistance. Given that the phones will have motors on both sides, the technology possibly be developed to provide DualSense-like input in games.

We have many questions about the exact functionality and how Apple has enhanced the feature but overall, it’s a pleasant surprise.
