Huawei Nova 10 Pro: All You Need to Know

Huawei Nova 10 Pro: All You Need to Know

Huawei has two versions of its Nova 10 smartphones. The Huawei Nova 10 phones are aimed at the younger population, with a budget-friendly price tag. Whereas, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro is the amped up, feature packed variant.

In this blog, I’ll be going over the specifications of the Huawei Nova 10 Pro.

Design

The Huawei Nova 10 Pro's front is rather stunning, featuring a huge 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. On the top left, there's a pill-shaped cutout for the camera, which houses two front-facing cameras. It is not, however, for face unlock. One is a 60MP front-facing camera for selfies with a 100-degree field of vision, while the other is a 2x telephoto lens.

The rear, on the other hand, is where things become very sparkly. The camera module is encircled by a gold ring, as is the main sensor in the center of the camera island. The rear of the phone is made of a slightly rough metal, with the company's nova logo embossed in gold at the bottom. It looks okay overall, but it could use a bit less gloss.

There are twin speakers at the top and bottom, good haptics, and a curved display. At the bottom is an optical under-display fingerprint sensor. All of this contributes to the phone's luxury feel, particularly as curved screens are normally reserved for flagship smartphones.

Camera

The Nova 10 Pro comes with a decent camera setup. The front-facing camera system, though, packs some of the most powerful camera gear available, with a 60MP ultra-wide sensor. It's a good-looking, high-quality sensor. Another interesting feature is the front-facing camera's 2x telephoto.

Overall Performance

The Huawei Nova 10 Pro has a 4G version of the Snapdragon 778G, which is an excellent performance. In everyday use, you won't have any issues, and it can handle just much everything you throw at it.

However, as is typical with this chipset, the GPU is somewhat weak. You won't be gaming on this phone, since the Adreno 642L lags behind the competition and can't handle a lot of gaming. Nonetheless, you won't have any issues using your phone in usual situations. Browsing the internet, messaging, and data switch will all function normally.

Battery Life

The Huawei Nova 10 Pro's charging speed is another standout feature. With a 100W charger included in the package, charging this phone from 0% to 100% will take 20 minutes. Furthermore, Huawei's proprietary EMUI software, as well as the hardware, are both excellent at battery life.

Final Thoughts

The Huawei Nova 10 Pro has the same issues as every Huawei smartphone released in the last two years: it's difficult to recommend to almost anybody.

The cameras are outstanding, however, given the device's €699 price tag and the difficulties some may face as an ordinary customer owing to the lack of a Google Play Store. For what it's worth, this phone is a sign that Huawei is paying attention and that things are progressing. AppGallery is becoming better by the day, and with tailored approaches to each application service, so if you can live without Google's ecosystem, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro is a good choice.
