How to Add Android photos to Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office has gone through major updates this year; the application has become much more Android friendly. The latest feature enables users to add photos from their Android smartphones directly into their Microsoft Office documents.

How To Import Photos

When the update is finally installed on your Microsoft Inside, you will see that the web-based versions of Word and PowerPoint now have a new command called "Insert photo from mobile device" located under the Insert menu.

To begin configuring this feature, open an existing document or presentation using either Microsoft Word for the Web or Powerpoint Presentation for the Web. You may use either of these applications to create your document or presentation. You also have the option of creating a new presentation or document from scratch.

When the new document has finished opening, choose Insert from the menu, and then select Pictures. Select Mobile Device. The next step is to install the link to the Windows app on your mobile device. You will be invited to open a QR code, which you must scan using the camera app on your phone or any other scanner that you have installed on your device. To connect your Android smartphone to your Microsoft account, just pair the devices by following the on-screen directions to start the photos transfer. Once you have linked the devices, you will be able to see all the photographs that are stored on your mobile device. The next time you click on the link that says "Insert photo from a mobile device," you will be sent directly to the gallery of images.

Please take into consideration that this function is only accessible to Office 365 members who have successfully connected their subscription to an office or school account.
