Google’s Older Pixel Devices are Getting a Pixel 7 Feature

Google’s Older Pixel Devices are Getting a Pixel 7 Feature

In October, Google Pixel 7 variations were released. They are Google's greatest phones yet, and in addition to some notable hardware enhancements, they include several distinct software capabilities. One of these has now made its way to earlier Pixel phones. People are reporting seeing enlarged weather predictions on their Pixel 6 home and lock screens in the morning, a feature that was initially introduced with the Google Pixel 7.

Weather Forecast Feature

This new enlarged weather forecast isn't a massive feature, but it's nice to see that Google hasn't abandoned its older gadgets. We can only hope that some other unique features, like as the better camera night mode settings, faster data switch and the unblur tool in Google Photos, will find their way to older phones as well.

The enlarged forecast is part of the At a Glance widget, which is located at the top of your Pixel phone's home and lock screens. This widget has always shown contextually relevant information including upcoming calendar events, weather alerts, and traffic reports. It also displays the current temperature and weather conditions by default. What's new is a more detailed prediction that appears just in the morning.

This forecast takes over the widget's bottom line, first displaying the current weather condition and temperature, as it usually does, and then a forecast that contains the day's maximum and lowest temperatures, as well as which conditions will be dominant. This prediction normally stays in effect until about 10 a.m.

The feature has not rolled out completely yet but we expect it be launched on all older pixel worldwide soon.
