Google Tasks: Latest upgrade will Replace Assistant Reminders

Google is bringing changes to its leading app and this time the update will be released soon to assist loyal users. Google has offered remarkable apps for Android users and among these is the highly active Google Task. The information that was leaked revealed that the largest online brand in the world intends to significantly modify the task-managing tool. Google Tasks will soon be the go-to app for all your to-do requirements in an apparent effort to combine more of its services and apps. Let’s take a deep dive into released details and what major change Google can bring to the Android community.

Google Task Replacing Reminders

For those of you who're not familiar, Google Tasks is simply Google's to-do list management system. You can access this tool and app from the sidebar when using Gmail on your smartphone. It is tightly integrated with Google services, including Gmail. The change follows reports that Google planned to replace Tasks with Assistant Reminders. To make its task management solutions simpler, the successful digital brand announced that it will combine Assistant and Calendar reminders under Google Tasks. New reminders will now be uploaded to Tasks when they are created using Google Assistant.

Add to Task Button

This allows you to keep all of your reminders and tasks in one location across services and makes them easy to access from almost anywhere. Any new content you add will now be seen in the Workspace sidebar in Gmail, Drive, Docs, and other web applications, as well as the Google Tasks list across Android mobile apps. The "Add to tasks" button in Gmail and Chat is another example provided by Google of how Tasks may be created and viewed from several locations. Users will be given the option to test out the new experience when the shift occurs, according to Google, they will focus on releasing the updates before the end of the year. Goals and Reminders will be deleted from Google Calendar as part of the change.

Google Reminders into Tasks.

This decision will have a significant impact on Android users who are adding similar tasks on various platforms. The major issue they were facing involved smartphone lagging and bugs while using Calendar or Task apps. To improve the efficiency of their smartphones, several users installed storage cleaner apps, and others even manually uninstalled Google's pre-loaded apps. One of the Android followers’ favorite apps is Google Tasks, especially since it's simple to use and already works well with other Workspace tools.

We can't wait for the new experience to launch since more integration with other services like Google Assistant will only improve an already fantastic app. But this isn't the only recent instance of Google merging its apps, as we've seen. Google Meet and Google Duo have recently been combined by the brand to provide a cohesive video chat tool for both personal and professional use.

Google Task Official Announcement

As Google concentrates its workstation messaging efforts on Chat, the firm also decided to discontinue Hangouts in the upcoming months or weeks. Now that Google Tasks and Assistant Reminders have merged, for Google, it is a turning point to decide what to do with Keep which was a long-forgotten beloved app that effectively performs the same function. Although a release date has not yet been set, you will receive the most recent information within a few weeks, or maybe as soon as Google makes an official announcement about the Task app upgrade.
