All New Apple Notes Features in the iOS 16

The Notes app in Apple's iOS 16, which is presently available as a public beta, has received a number of minor updates, the most significant of which being the introduction of Quick Notes. Even if the functionality is not identical to that of the iPad, it is still quite helpful. The following is a rundown of all the latest and greatest additions to the Notes app that you should be aware of.

Smart Folders

Smart Folders, the feature that introduced intelligent folders to Apple Notes, now has a plethora of additional rule parameters. You may create new Smart Folders by applying criteria such as Date Created, Date Modified, Shared, Mentions, Checklists, Attachments, Folder, Quick Notes, Pinned Notes, and Locked Notes.

Collaboration

Another iPhone app that has jumped on the link-sharing bandwagon is Apple Notes. You may now invite others to collaborate on Apple Notes by creating a link that can be shared on any chat platform. If you want to discuss something such as the latest clone phone apps, collaboration will be convenient for you. Tap Share, make sure the "Collaborate" function is enabled, and then pick "Anyone with the link" from the Share Options. Select a contact or app from the Share menu to share the iCloud link.

iPhone Passcode & Notes Passcode

Locked notes in Apple Notes were previously secured using Face ID or Touch ID, but only if you had a separate password for them. Another thing to keep in mind. When you attempt to lock a note, Apple Notes will prompt you to change the Apple Notes passcode to your device passcode. You can still use Face ID to safeguard the notes, and since you'll be using your device passcode, you're less likely to forget it.

Quick Notes

iOS 16 adds a new system-wide Quick Notes functionality to the Share menu. Open any website or app, click the Share icon, and then choose "Add to Quick Note," which will launch a new Quick Note panel. There, you'll see the link or the chosen text; next, touch "Save."

Quick Notes, as on the iPad, are connected to the page or app where you took them. When you return to that page, you'll see a little floating symbol in the bottom-right corner, which you may press to bring up the Quick Note once again. The notes are kept in their own folder in the Notes app (near the top of the Folders screen), and you may make as many as you wish. You may also make a Quick Note from Control Center. Tap "Done" after adding the "Quick Note" function to the Favorites in Settings > Control Center.
