Instagram Tests New Feature for Professional Live Streaming

Instagram is helping a vast variety of influencers who can add their content to reach their target audience. The live-streaming service is now becoming a key trend among content creators to engage with their followers in real-time by sharing their favorite photos and short clips. Instagram is now expanding its features to assist loyal users searching for the best source to go live on this platform.

The latest leaks indicate a major addition to Instagram's testing plans, focusing on offering a “Live Producer” tool for generating professional live-streaming content. The authentic details show that the biggest photo-sharing app is now working on a unique tool to help influencers broadcast their live streams through desktop software such as Streamyard and Streamlabs. The (Live Producer) feature will create several links for Insta users to get maximum viewers instantly and deliver their content for an unlimited duration.

The Meta-owned company's live tool can attract users from their competitors by giving a fresh broadcasting source to add multiple streams using smart devices. The Meta spokesperson stated. “We’re now testing a way to allow broadcasters to go Live using streaming software with a small group of partners.” The new live-streaming tool will open up production elements, such as extra cameras, external microphones, and graphics, going beyond the typical smartphone camera. This collaboration between Insta users and third-party streaming services will enable new channels for beginners to present their content on a grand stage.

Previously, only smartphones could be used by producers to launch an Instagram Live. There were several issues faced by streamers including decreases in smartphone memory and lagging forcing them to install data remover apps for a smooth live presentation. With Instagram Live Producer, live-streaming on Instagram will function like live-streaming on Twitch and YouTube. Starting Live Producer requires a few resources that can be completed in simple steps.

Before selecting the new feature, you must first decide which streaming application you'll use for your live event. Start by discovering where to enter your URL and stream key on the streaming program screen. You may broadcast your streaming software configuration directly to Instagram Live, according to Instagram, by using the URL and stream key. The next step is to open Instagram on your computer, select the "Add post" button, and choose "Live" from the options menu. The suggested audio and video format specifications for broadcasting on the platform utilizing the new Live Producer tool have been shared by Instagram.

The "Go Live" page will allow you to choose your audience and enter the title of your live video. Your live video will not be shown to anybody if you choose "Practice." If you choose "Public," you will broadcast your live video to your followers. Your special URL, streamkey, and usage instructions will appear on the screen. This tool will directly present your live feed frame by frame to enhance the streaming experience.

According to the social media brand, Live Producer does not support other Live streaming features like Live Rooms, Shopping, Fundraisers, comment pinning, and Q & A. Live Producer does not yet support moderation, but Instagram might add these tools if the testing phase gets approval before the final launch. According to Instagram, you may see, share, and download your finished broadcast from the Live Archive. However, you can only share and download a finished live video from the Live Archive if it is turned on. On Instagram mobile, you may view the Live Archive from your profile.

The testing process is still in the final stages, but we will keep you updated about all the key elements that will be added and when Instagram will announce the official release date of the live-streaming feature for desktop and smartphone influencers.
