The Latest Samsung Galaxy S22 Update Is Blocking Messages

It has been reported that a number of Galaxy S22 users in the United States are experiencing problems that allegedly began occurring after their devices were updated to the September 2022 version. Customers have brought the issue to the attention of the company via the official Community forums as well as Reddit. They allege that the problem prohibits them from receiving messages, which makes it impossible for them to communicate with anybody until they restart the Galaxy S22.

Users Not Getting Messages

Customers who have been impacted by the issue claim that rebooting the Galaxy S22 only gives a temporary remedy. Because the connection problem keeps happening after a while, consumers are need to restart their phones many times each day for messaging and file sharing purposes.

Even though the majority of user complaints seem to arise from Galaxy S22 consumers on Verizon's network, some users have said that the issue happens on networks operated by other carriers, including as T-Mobile and AT&T. It would seem that both the default messaging app from Samsung and Google’ app are impacted by the problem.

Users who are affected have reported that they might wait for their SMS messages for hours without any success. They do not get all of the unread messages in bulk until after they have performed a reset on their Galaxy S22 devices. The issue has been persisting for more than a week at this point.

There has been no response to the issue from either Samsung or the cell carriers; nevertheless, it is anticipated that a software upgrade will resolve the problem.
