Get Rid of the Most Annoying iOS 16 Features

The iOS 16 is the latest OS released by Apple. The newest software update comes with tons of new features that give iPhone users more customization freedom. While, there are plenty of fantastic new features such as Lock Screen widgets, no OS is completely perfect. There are some features which are a bit frustrating and downright annoying. Luckily, we have figured out which features you’ll be better off without.

Lock Screen Update

With iOS 16, Apple substantially altered the Lock Screen, including the notification system, which now appears at the bottom of the screen. It's a good improvement, and alerts are simpler to get, but they're all jumbled up in a single stack, and you have to scroll to see everything. So, if you want to open a clone it app update among your IG notifications, you’ll have to work through the clutter.

In iOS 16, you may view all notifications as a list, just like in iOS 15 and earlier. To revert, click to Settings > Notifications > Display As and set the default to "List." Following that, all alerts will appear as a list, one after the other, just below the time.

Feature Photos

Apple is getting serious about Featured Photos feature. Your iPhone displays photographs of you, your family, and your pets in widgets, the For You page in Photos, Spotlight Search, and even when you create a new Lock Screen.

Some people prefer seeing glimpses into their past but honestly, at times it can be infuriating because there are some things you just do not want to revisit. You may disable the functionality by heading to Settings > Photos and unchecking "Show Featured Content."

The Not-So-Subtle Search Icon

Another significant change is to the Home Screen, the page dots have been replaced with a Search symbol in iOS 16, and if you don't like it, Apple provides a setting to return to the old methods. Go to Settings > Home Screen and uncheck "Show on Home Screen" under the Search section.

Side-Button Ends Calls

When you push the Side/Power button on your iPhone, the call ends immediately. While it is a useful feature for some, it is far too simple to press accidentally. If you find yourself arbitrarily ending calls by brushing against the Side button, you may disable it: For further security, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch and activate "Prevent Lock to End Call."

All the aforementioned features are useful, but a not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people may just find them annoying, we’re just thankful Apple gave users an option to disable these features instead of just being stuck with them.
