After two weeks, Apple has halted iPhone 14 Plus manufacture

It has been a month since the release of the Apple iPhone 14 models, so far we have mixed reactions from the public. According to the latest report, the iPhone 14 Plus production is being halted, just two weeks after launch.

iPhone 14 Plus Manufacturing Stopped

Unlike the iPhone 12 and 13, which were sold with the smaller iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 13 Mini, Apple decided that larger is better for the iPhone 14 series, and issued the iPhone 14 Plus alongside the basic model. This bigger version of the current iPhone lacks the bells and whistles of the iPhone 14 Pro, but it is a more affordable upgrade above the standard device.

Unfortunately, it seems that this choice has not been well received by users, since Apple has apparently halted manufacturing of the iPhone 14 Plus, despite the fact that the device has only been on the market for less than two weeks. Most users claim that the iPhone 14 lineup has minimal upgrades such as Dynamic Island, slight updates in data share features and Camera improvements. Hence, people question the need of getting an iPhone with minimal upgrades.

Apple is claimed to have forced a Chinese manufacturer to stop producing iPhone 14 Plus components, while two factories that combine iPhone 14 Plus components into bigger components are said to be reducing output by 70% and 90%, respectively. According to the source, the halt is in effect while Apple reassesses demand for the phone. The company may resume production if the demand increases.
